Mission 1 Million Trees

Mission 1 Million Trees

Since the late 20th century, climate change has emerged as a critical concern, prompting global awareness of its severity. In response, the early 1990’s saw the establishment of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), followed by the Kyoto Protocol in 1997 and the Paris Agreement in 2015. The Paris Agreement set an ambitious goal to restrict the global temperature rise to 2°C by century’s end, striving further to limit it to 1.5°C.

Despite international efforts to address climate change, current and anticipated emission reduction commitments fall short of achieving these targets.

Tree planting is a widely endorsed strategy, but it is essential to ensure that the carbon stored in trees and soils remains secure and effective. Mismanaged tree planting could, in fact, exacerbate global warming. This editorial examines how to optimize tree planting to enhance carbon permanence and mitigate climate change’s adverse effects. Afforestation and reforestation are key strategies in this regard.

We believe that the estates development services, Macadamia and Bioleather products we offer are actually meant for the customers and the customers in any case should be able to utilize our products and services with 100% satisfaction. We do this because we strongly believe this is the way forward in achieving sound and reliable relationship with them.

Trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere as they grow, storing carbon in biomass, organic matter, and soils, making these processes vital for negative emissions. Afforestation refers to creating new forests, while reforestation focuses on restoring forests that have been deforested or degraded.

Mission

Depending on the species, trees can sequester CO2 over a period of 20–100 years until they reach maturity, at which point sequestration rates decrease significantly. Mature forests can then be harvested for various products. Effective forest management practices are crucial to maximizing the environmental benefits of afforestation and reforestation, such as enhanced biodiversity, flood control, and improved soil, water, and air quality.

Bahuvida Limited is looking at carving its own niche in focused plantation estates development with an eye of continued value-addition for its customers, investors, and stakeholders. It is an ambitious Mission towards plantation aimed at planting 1 Million Macadamia Trees to combat climate change, enhance biodiversity, and improve the quality of farmer’s life through the great Macadamias yielding. Mission 1 Million Trees considering the overall importance of the changing climatic scenario and the future aspects to benefit the farming community through Carbon Credits and achieve the sustainable development goals.
